Ulfert Janssen
German artist. Living in Switzerland.
Born in East Frisia region on the North Sea coast. From an early age he was recognized for his talents in painting and woodworking, and from the age of 12 he studied under the German artist Bodo Olthoff. After studying fine arts and design at the Art Center College of Design, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design under the guidance of renowned concept artists such as Scott Robertson and Neville Page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel to his artistic practice, he worked for 10 years as car designer for the Renault-Nissan group in Barcelona, Seoul, and Tokyo where he has designed numerous concept cars and production models. In 2012, he decided to focus on his career as a multidisciplinary artist, and established his own studio in Switzerland. Since then he has exhibited his works in various solo\/group exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland, and participated in several public art competitions in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main theme of his artwork is \u2018Contrast\u2019 and \u2018Fusion\u2019.
He works predominantly in painting and sculpture using rusted metal and charred wood, prepared by himself as special canvas and material for the artworks.
