本作では現実と想像による相対性をコンセプトとしています。
日々のニュースで戦争や災害といった悲痛な出来事を目にする中でジョン・レノンとオノ・ヨーコの「Imagine」やデヴィッド・バーンの映画「アメリカン・ユートピア」の「Hell You Talmbout」（ジャネール・モネイのカヴァー）が思い浮かびました。
世の中には愛や平和についてのメッセージが多く発信されているにもかかわらず現状では争いごとがなくなりません。このような世界だからこそ人間は想像力を働かせて現実を変えていく努力が必要だという考察からこのコンセプトに至りました。
人々は異なる文化や背景をもつため、同じ現実を異なる文脈で捉えることができます。
言い換えれば、人々が持つ想像力や経験に基づいてそれぞれが異なる現実を捉えるということです。
また、それは相対的に異なる文化や背景を持つ現実に基づいて想像力が異なるということになります。
本作は既製品のハンガーラックに既製品のおもちゃのピストル（戦争などの争いごとのメタファー）と食品サンプルのリンゴ（平和のメタファー）を手編みの袋に入れてランダムに吊るします。手編みの袋の素材をプラスチックコードにすることにより、質感は既製品のようになりますが、形は一つ一つ手編み独特の不均等で個性的な形となります。
これは手編みという温かさという自然な要素と、プラスチック素材という人工的な要素で対比させ視覚的に現実と想像の相対性を強調しています。
そして、それは人々が何を選択し、どのような思いを抱くかは個々の文化や環境、経験によってことなることを表現しています。
現実が異なるだけでなく、想像も異なるため、異なる視点や解釈が生まれます。
私の想像の世界（理想郷）では人々が争うためのピストルは無く、人々が笑顔になる美味しいリンゴがたくさんあります。しかし、それは私が日本という国に生まれ、平和な環境で生活をしている現実があるからだと考えます。環境が違えば恐らく私の想像の世界（理想郷）も異なるものになるでしょう。
世界中の人々がリンゴを選ぶ平和な世界になることを祈っています。
The concept of this work is the relativity between reality and imagination.
As we see heartbreaking events such as wars and disasters on the news every day, we hear songs like “Imagine” by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, “Hell You Talmbout” from David Byrne’s film “American Utopia” (Janelle Monáe’s cover) came to mind.
Despite the many messages of love and peace being sent to the world, conflicts still persist. We came up with this concept based on the idea that in a world like this, humans need to use their imagination to make efforts to change reality.
Because people come from different cultures and backgrounds, they can perceive the same reality in different contexts.
In other words, each person perceives reality differently based on their imagination and experience.
It also means that imaginations differ based on realities with relatively different cultures and backgrounds.
In this work, a ready-made toy pistol (a metaphor for conflicts such as war) and a food sample apple (a metaphor for peace) are placed in hand-woven bags and hung randomly on a ready-made hanger rack. By using plastic cord as the material for hand-knitted bags, the texture resembles that of ready-made bags, but each bag has an uneven, unique shape that is unique to hand-knitted bags.
This visually emphasizes the relativity between reality and imagination by contrasting the natural element of warmth of hand-knitting with the artificial element of plastic material.
It also expresses that the choices people make and the thoughts they have vary depending on their individual culture, environment, and experiences.
Not only the reality is different, but the imagination is also different, leading to different perspectives and interpretations.
In my imaginary world (utopia), there are no pistols for people to fight over, and there are plenty of delicious apples to make people smile. However, I believe that this is because I was born in Japan and live in a peaceful environment. If the environment were different, my imaginary world (utopia) would probably be different.
I pray for a peaceful world where people all over the world choose apples.
